Baking up memories in the kitchen

December 06, 2020 by Amber Rosilez

Christmas time is here! My girls are at the age where they know something special is happening. Music, lights, and decorations. Yes, Christmas is upon us! I’m already using Santa as an excuse to get well behaved children. And it’s working.

We transitioned Charlotte from the crib to a toddler bed and now she makes her way to our room at night. The requests for water, the My Little Pony movie and to sleep in our bed were just a few questions I’d hear. The other night, I told her that she had to stay in her bed because Santa was watching. It was the first night in a few long nights that I got uninterrupted sleep. How glorious.

Baking is one of our favorite Christmas past times. One thing I love to do is hop on Pinterest and find a recipe for whatever I’m wanting to make. Chocolate chip cookies are the most requested thing and I found this recipe that was so simple and easy. The girls had a great time making them in the kitchen. They love digging their hands in the flour and making a mess. I give them their own bowl to play around with to keep them busy. Such wonderful memories are made in the kitchen. Hope you’re carving out some time to “bake” some memories in the kitchen this month.
